It surprised me how much it hurt to hear of his passing. His work has been a big part of my entertainment and of much inspiration. I know the cartoon may seem very dark, but as his work was a big part of monster making history and in theme with this cartoon strip, it's meant it as a homage and mark a sad day for horror fans everywhere.
